CORWIL TECHNOLOGY CORPORATION COMPLETES ASSET
PURCHASE OF VIKO TEST LABS
Milpitas, CA, March 10, 2014 - CORWIL Technology Corporation (“CORWIL”) has announced the asset purchase of VIKO Test Labs, a division of Infiniti Solutions. The addition of electrical, environmental, and mechanical test services enhances CORWIL’s market position as a true OSAT (Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly & Test) leader, joining an exclusive list of domestic providers with both assembly and test operations located in the United States.
“The addition of VIKO’s testing capabilities, equipment and engineering expertise will allow CORWIL to provide our customers with a full
turnkey back end solution,” said Matt Bergeron, CORWIL President and CEO. “The new CORWIL Test Division (CTD) will provide our customers with optimum test solutions and services, by aligning their product requirements with the correct equipment and test program development services, and by reducing the customer’s manufacturing cycle and time-to-market.”
CTD boasts a comprehensive tool set, including handler, prober and test platforms spanning the vast majority of digital, mixed-signal, and radio frequency applications in multiple test environments, including wafer sort and package tests. A full suite of environmental and mechanical screening services are also available, including commercial package and device qualification. In addition, in-process monitoring capabilities are available in accordance with Joint Electron Device Engineering Council standards, as well as Defense Logistics Agency certified MIL-PRF-38535 commercial lab suitability in accordance with QML requirements (http://www.landandmaritime.dla.mil/Downloads/VQGeneral/RCStatus140117.pdf).
“CTD will manage test program and hardware development with qualified vendors to meet our customer specifications,” added Joe Foerstel, CTD General Manager. “We not only monitor test yields after initial check out, but will make recommendations and work with customers to improve yields, cycle time and quality. The Application and Sales staff works closely with our customers to understand their current and future test requirements, which allows us to properly invest in new equipment.”
